So maybe you’ve met an older woman online and now you and your significant other are in love and want to spend some 1-on-1 time together. You’ve done the date nights and the “staycations” and really just want to get away for a weekend, away from all the stresses of life and spend some quality time together. Best Places to Getaway for Couples

Napa – California

For the Southwest region, it’s no surprise that we picked Napa Valley, California to serve this area as the place to vacation as a couple. With tons of vineyards to choose from, not to mention all the excellent food and top notch hotels, you and your mate can wine and dine to your hearts desires and forget about all your problems while you enjoy each other’s company. The scenery is absolutely beautiful with the open space, rolling hills and majestic vineyards. By the time the trip is over, you won’t want to go home!

Captiva Island – Florida

While there may be more excitement in places like Miami or Key West, if you’re truly looking to get away with your partner there’s no better place than heading to the gulf side of Florida and spending some time in Captiva. This quaint little island just a short drive from Naples and Fort Myers has beautiful beaches with plenty of hotels and rentals for lodging. Bring your golf clubs if that’s your thing, or else just enjoy a beautiful sunset on Florida’s west side. There’s plenty of fun nightlife here and in nearby Sanibel. Enjoy the nature, fishing, boating, sailing and more or a trip you’ll never forget.

Nantucket – Massachusetts

For the northeast, you can’t beat the island of Nantucket in Massachusetts. Do you like beaches? They have 10 of them. Want to go see some old lighthouses while sightseeing? There’s 3 here. Spend a picturesque New England weekend here and you’ll find why it’s such a popular second-home and vacation spot for Northeasterners. For the ladies who love shopping (if you really want to get your girl to like you, take her shopping!), there’s plenty of that here, as well as great dining all around the island.

San Juan Island – Washington

For the Pacific Northwest, we’re going with San Juan Island, which is in a chain of 172 islands off of Washington state’s coast. Spend your weekend with  your loved one while hiking, biking, visiting a vineyard and antique shops, orcas swimming of the coast, and even an alpaca farm. This picturesque island will give you some quiet time away from the bustle of life at home, allowing you to focus on each other while forgetting about your worries.

Going away for a weekend together is one of the best ways to find out how well you click. It can cement a relationship and take it to another level. It could also have the opposite effect. If you can’t handle a weekend together alone in each other’s company outside your comfort zone at home, it may not be the relationship for you.
